Let's face it, we all know someone in the real estate business.  A lot of us even have a friend or family member in the business.  A lot of us know the names of agents that we see on a sign or in advertising.  There are a lot of us.  The Greater Louisville Association of Realtors represents more than 4,000 members.

So, how do you choose an agent?

I believe there are five key considerations sellers and buyers should assess when choosing an agent. What are those five considerations?

Buying or selling a home isn't a part-time proposition. It's an involved process from start to finish, whether you're selling or buying a property. That's why you need an agent who can devote full-time attention to your needs. I am a full-time realtor who specializes in residential real estate sales and will exceed your expectations during the home buying or selling process.

Technically Savvy

The Internet, and social media, are critical components to buying and selling real estate. According to the National Association of Realtors, ninety-two percent of home buyers begin their search online. That's why you need an agent who knows how to reach buyers using online technology. For nearly 20 years, I ran a successful dot.com and possess strong online sales and marketing skills. With a large social media audience, I can help you attract more potential buyers, which helps put more money in your pocket at the closing table.

The agent you choose should be orginized and knowledgeable about the real estate process. There are many steps in the process from listing to close, and lots of forms required by law. You need an agent who will help guide you the process and make the transaction a smooth one for you. I understand the real estate process from start to finish, and I've also accumulated a vast network of vendors, including lenders, closing attorney's, home inspectors, plumbers, roofers and landscapers that will be beneficial to you.

Home buying or selling can test your nerves, particularly if you are new to home buying or selling. That's why you need an agent who will be available and responsive when you have questions or concerns.  I will be available to you anytime day or night. Client relations are my main priority and, as your agent, you'll never have to hunt me down when you need help.

Skilled Negotiator

Real estate transactions aren't wars or boxing matches; they're negotiations between sellers and buyers. You need a skilled negotiator, not a brawler, representing your interests. Each negotiation is different and depends on the specific deal on the table. You need an agent who can accurately assess the situation and play the cards at your disposal in the most effective way possible.

I love real estate, but my business isn't about one transaction; it’s about creating personal and lasting relationships. Whether selling or buying a home I hope you'll consider choosing my services. I'd appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust and assist with all of your real estate needs.
